Project outline

Vickie, the new owner of Rabbit Books Arthouse Studio, engaged me to rebrand her business. I was involved in brainstorming and workshopping new names for the multi-faceted enterprise (art gallery, book shop, cafe, wine bar and event venue). The Curious Rabbit won out.

The brief was for an eclectic, retro vibe for the venue and its new visual identity. Whimsical yet sophisticated. So, I looked at Art Deco inspired typefaces, graphic elements and colours, and various rabbit icons. The logo also needed to communicate the many facets of the business.

A simple logo design incorporating the rabbit was created, with uncomplicated graphic elements and an extensive colour palette. I designed bookmarks, business cards, postcards, letterhead templates, social media backgrounds, art tags, gift vouchers and banners for social media, events and newsletters.

Thanks to the branding guru Nichole Maybury from Maybury Ink – you were able to take the briefest of ideas and create an amazing logo and brand I love.
